Keep Clothing Out of the Blue Recycling Cart
Bloomington's recycling guidance lists clothing, textiles, and shoes among the items that do not belong in the City's curbside recycling cart. If those items are piling up at home, schedule a separate pickup with us for the clothes and shoes you want to clear out. You can include accepted small household items in the same pickup.
We Pickup Clothes is a for-profit pickup service. Items you give us are not tax-deductible, and we do not issue charitable donation receipts. We are not affiliated with the City of Bloomington.

Bloomington Pickup Questions
A few useful details before you book your pickup.
Can I schedule a pickup for just one bag?
Yes. One bag is enough, and there is no maximum number of bags. Let us know your estimated bag or box count when you schedule.
Do you take worn or stained clothes and shoes?
Yes. We accept clothing and shoes in any condition. Pack them securely in tied bags or boxes.
When should I put my items outside?
Have your packed items outside by 8 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day, in a spot that is visible and accessible to our driver.
Can clothing go in Bloomington's recycling cart?
No. The City's published curbside recycling guide lists clothing, textiles, and shoes as unacceptable in its recycling carts. Our separate pickup accepts eligible clothing and shoes.
Will I get a charitable donation receipt?
No. We Pickup Clothes is a for-profit business, so items given through our service are not tax-deductible and we do not issue charitable donation receipts.
